Waker

Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 29, 2026

Waker is an alarm app that verifies your morning mission with your iPhone's camera. It is built to know as little about you as possible.

The short version

Data stored on your device only

Alarm settings, mission history, streaks, and escape-pass usage are stored locally on your iPhone (and in your device backups, which Apple encrypts per your iCloud settings). Deleting the app deletes this data.

Data processed by third parties

Purchases (Superwall + Apple). Our subscription paywall is powered by Superwall, and payments are handled by Apple's App Store. When you view the paywall or purchase, Superwall receives standard purchase and paywall-interaction events tied to a device-level identifier (Apple's "identifier for vendor"). We have no accounts, so there is no email or account identity to send.

The one exception is your first name. If you gave one during setup, we send it to Superwall so the paywall can greet you by it. That is the only answer from setup that ever leaves your iPhone — your wake time, age range, sleep answers, goals and everything else you told us stay on this device. If you would rather not share it, you can enter anything you like as your name; nothing checks it.

This is used to operate the paywall and measure it in aggregate, not for advertising. See Superwall's privacy policy (superwall.com/privacy) and Apple's (apple.com/legal/privacy).

Apple processes your payment; we never see your payment details.

Permissions we ask for and why

You can revoke any of these in Settings at any time; the app will tell you what stops working.

Children

Waker is not directed at children under 13 and collects no personal data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, the date above changes and the new version is published at the same URL before it takes effect.
